Gaming for Good: Lucky cart’s solidarity mechanic

A need for solidarity.

The health crisis has had a strong impact both on the French population as well as the global one, with numerous financial repercussions and overwhelmed organizations including the hospital system.

In this context, the French have expressed a strong need and desire to be more committed to solidarity initiatives.

Human factor.

At Lucky cart, we value the human factor. It is therefore obvious to us to provide support to people who need it. During the health crisis, we quickly realized that we could put our solutions to the benefit of causes that particularly affect us.

Our first initiative was set up in 2020. We supported the Fondation des Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France and the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris. With 3 partner products purchased, 2 euros were donated to the foundation.

The Gaming for Good mechanic.

We work with retailers and brands to set up the “Gaming for Good” program.

The mechanics are very simple: shoppers are encouraged to make donations without spending a penny: when shopping, they just have to add 1 or more products from one of the partner brands to their basket so that 2 euros are systematically donated to the partner association. At the same time, they have the opportunity to try to win the reimbursement of all of their baskets.

Gaming for Good X Les Restos du Coeur.

Since 2020, Lucky cart has been developing its solidarity system with Les Restos du Cœur. Specifically, how does it work? For each shopper eligible for the campaign, i.e. a shopper who buys 1 or more products from one or more of our partner brands in this operation, 1 or 2 euros are donated to Les Restos du Cœur.

In 2021, more than 110,000 meals were distributed to Les Restos du Coeur.

Thanks to Gaming for Good, the association benefited from great visibility with drive customers, since more than 6.6 million impressions were generated. Real relay of Les Restos du Coeur cause and a strong call for donations, even outside the system. A real plus to continue to educate shoppers on the subject.

A mechanic made to last.

Building on the success and impact of our “Gaming for Good” program and the donations made to associations, we have decided to make this system permanent in order to be even more supportive.
